MAMA’S HEART
“And his mother kept all these things in her heart.” – Luke 2: 51
My mom is a strong and feisty woman. She has gone through a lot in her life. But many years have already passed. Now, she is based in Sydney, Australia living a much peaceful life.
Her coming home at least once a year binds us all together. And guess what she would talk about?
It would be about us — her children — our achievements, our most unforgettable moments together, our funny memories, and, yes, our hurts and pains that, like her, made us who we are now.
My mom kept all these things about us in her heart. And I know these are her greatest treasures.
For that, and more, I will love and honor her all my life.
Mama Mary kept in her heart all the things about her Son, Jesus, our Lord and Savior. It would be exciting to hear her stories about her Son. She would surely know a lot more. After all, she was His mother!
For that, and more, I will love and honor her all my life.
I love you, Mom.
I love you, Mama Mary. Alvin Barcelona (alvinbarcelona@gmail.com)

REFLECTION:
Think of your own mother now. What could be the things she is keeping in her heart about you? Pray for her. Honor her. Love her more.
Mama Mary, I pray to you. You are the Mother of my Savior, Jesus. I honor you. I love you. As I pray now for my own mother… I love her, too. Amen.
St. John Francis Regis, pray for us.
