MISSIONARIES BY EXAMPLE
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” – Matthew 28:19
They have a tool or a ruler in their hands or are dribbling a ball with their feet. They are the Salesians of Don Bosco. They
play football with the boys, teach blue-collar skills and are actively engaged with working for the youth around the world as their mission for God.
Like the SDBs, each one of us is called to be a missionary. We do not need to be in the classroom, teach out-of-school youth a trade or be adept in the football field.
However, we have a duty to bring people closer to God. The first thing we need to do is to be the best example that we can be.
If you work, do it diligently. If you are a homemaker, take care of the family with love and optimism. If you are a businessman, be fair with your dealings. If you are a student, give your best in your studies and be hungry to learn.
By how you live as Christ’s disciple, you will be able to win hearts and minds for the Lord.
We are missionaries, wherever we are. Jun Asis (mabuting.balita@gmail.com)

REFLECTION:
Am I leading a life of good example for others to follow?
Dear God, You call me to be a missionary wherever I am. Grant that I may be able to draw people to You in everything that I do. Amen.
Blessed John XXIII, pray for us.
