Upon those who lived in the land of gloom a light has shone. You have brought them abundant joy and great rejoicing... – Isaiah 9:1-2
It was a gradual process — my personal conversion. Years and years of wandering through deserts of unfulfilled pursuits, bitter cups of disappointed desires, and flat melodies of everyday life.
Jesus revealed Himself at a major crossroad in my life — when I had just finished college, immediately during the summer after graduation. How gracious our God is for I wouldn’t know what life I would have now if I hadn’t personally encountered His love! Jesus’ love released me from the fear of death, gave me purpose for living, and a long-term goal to serve Him through others.
If you allow Jesus to, He will invade your life, upset the old order and make things right. The unsung song of your life will start to unfold its sweet melody. You just need to give Him a chance — daily. Joy Sosoban-Roa (jsosoban@gmail.com)
