WHAT DO YOU SEE?
They said to him, “Ribbi…where are you staying? “He said to them, “Come, and you will see.” – John 1:38-39
The Light of Jesus Family started with a couple, Gene and Pilar Sanchez, attending the Upper Room prayer meeting in Project 7, Quezon City in 1978. A leader of the prayer group prophesied that their youngest son, Bo, then only 12 years old, would be speaking to thousands about God.
In 1979, the Sanchezes started their own prayer meeting in their garage, led by Bo. The following year, Bo announced in the meeting that he was starting a prayer community and asked the attendees who would like to join him. Thirty attendees raised their hands.
Today, the prayer gathering that Bo leads is called The Feast. There are over 100 Feasts throughout the world, all following Bo’s teachings on the practical application of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Yes, Jesus started it all. In today’s Gospel, when the disciples ask Him where He is staying, He tells them, “Come, and you will see.”
The disciples follow Him and stay with Him. What did the disciples see? What did Gene and Pilar see? What did Bo and the rest who attend his prayer gatherings see?

Reflection: How well do you see Jesus?
Lord, let me see You, the way your disciples saw You. Let me change the way the disciples changed and followed You.
