FAITHFUL IN BIG MATTERS
“Well done,” he said; “you are a good servant! Since you were faithful in small matters, I will put you in charge of ten cities.” – Luke 19:17
Albert de Guzman has an inspiring story. His dad passed away when he was only eight years old. His mother had to work as a maid for them to survive.
He wanted a better life for his family. He was ready to take on any job. He worked as a houseboy, salesman, waiter, OFW and even a lifeguard. He was always a trustworthy and hardworking employee. Because of his excellent work ethic, he was trusted with more responsibility every time he transferred employers.
After several years of working as an employee, he had the desire to manage his own business.
God eventually answered his prayer. He was able to find the right location and right partner for a food franchise. Through borrowed money and God’s grace he was able to open his first outlet in a mall.
Albert now manages more outlets and is able to provide for his mother and siblings. He was able to achieve the better life he wanted. He is a living proof that those who can be trusted with small matters will be given bigger ones. Alvin Fabella (alvinfabella@yahoo.com)

REFLECTION:
Have you been faithful and wise with the resources that God has given you? Today is a good day to start evaluating how you have been using these resources.
Jesus, make me a faithful and farsighted servant. Amen.
