BOTTOMLINE
“So
you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should
say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.’” – Luke
17:10
There are three powerful drivers in the modern-day world: money, sex
and power. We fully know the extent of their ugly influence over a
person. They are like a poison that kills its victim slowly but surely.
However, like venom, their substance can be reversed into an antidote.
God, the Ultimate Inventor, can purify all these three into potent
forces. When you subjugate them to the Lordship of Jesus, He’ll reverse
their effect for His ultimate purpose.
Bottom line, it’s not about money but stewardship.
It’s not about sex but saintliness.
It’s not about power but service.
Stewardship, saintliness and service: These three are the core drivers and motivators that Jesus started.
As His followers, we shall go where He wants us to go, do what He wants
us to do, give what He wants us to give, and be what He wants us to be!
Because ultimately, real provision, purity and power is His.
There is supreme joy when at the end of the day we tell Him: “We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.” (Luke 17:10) Obet Cabrillas (kpreacherobet@gmail.com)
Reflection: Real power is servanthood because you render your efforts to bless others as you submit to the Lordship of Jesus.
Fill
my life with Your grace today, O God, so that I can do what You want me
to do, go where You want me to go, and give what You want me to give.
St. Martin of Tours, bishop, pray for us.
