We drew courage through our God to speak to you the gospel of God… — 1 Thessalonians 2:2

 

       When I started blogging, I was unclear about my “brand” so I tried to write posts that were similar in style and content to those of more famous Filipino mom bloggers.

       Eventually, I realized that that was not really what I wanted to do. I wanted my blog to be a platform for proclaiming God’s goodness. I wanted it to be a place where people could draw encouragement and maybe even wisdom. I wanted to inspire others to see the “riches” that they already have — especially when it comes to their faith and family life.

       It wasn’t easy to shift to a different focus for my blog. At first, I was scared of losing readers and not being counted among the “popular” mommy bloggers. But then God reminded me that everything in my life — including my blog — isn’t mine to call my own anyway. It’s all His.

       Knowing that, I draw courage from Him to speak His Gospel — through my blog and through other aspects of my life. To Him be all the glory, now and forever! Tina Santiago-Rodriguez (tina@trulyrichmom.com)

 

Reflection: “Yet I consider life of no importance to me, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to bear witness to the gospel of God’s grace.” (Acts 20:24)

 

Lord, use me to bring glory to Your name in all that I think, say and do.
