CRABS
“But some of the people said, ‘It is Beelzebul, the chief of the demons, who gives him the power to drive them out.” – Luke 11: 15
Isn’t it hilarious how people with “crab mentality” will think of anything to destroy you? Take my task, for example, as the Light of Jesus Family Feast builder and main preacher in Marilao, Bulacan, assigned by no less than Bo Sanchez and the community elders. When we started our official Feast gatherings, my share of “crab people” remarked, “How will they fill up that venue? Where will they get the funds? What does that preacher know about these things?”
Today, close to a thousand people gather every Saturday to worship, receive healing and listen to the Word at SM Marilao Cinema 2. We now have two sessions and upcoming youth and children’s sessions (as of this writing). So, you think those “crabs” will now stop bickering? Now they say, “Oh, but their presentations are too theatrical! Their band is too loud… and they have long hair… starting with their preacher!”
I just take consolation in the thought that even Jesus Himself had His taste of “crabs.” Imagine, the Son of God being charged as the chief of demons! Pitiful, what “crabs” would do just to pull others down and draw attention to themselves! Alvin Barcelona (kpreacheralvin@gmail.com)

REFLECTION:
You know what to do with crabs? You pray for them before you cook and eat them.
Dear God, grant me the grace to rejoice in the success of others and to pray for those who persecute me. In Your Most Holy Name. Amen.
