It’s never too late to pray for and discern God’s “one word” (or more) for you this year. If you haven’t yet, go ahead and do it. It may help you be more focused on following God’s will for your life - Daily Bible Reflections August 3,2014

(IN) COURAGE
In all these things we conquer overwhelmingly through him who loved us. — Romans 8:37
It had only been seven days into 2013. I had just chosen my “one word” for the year — something that would be my driving force of sorts. Then I read the verse above from Romans and it just popped out of the pages of my Bible. It helped affirm the word I had chosen for 2013 — (IN) COURAGE.
A play on the word “encourage,” (IN) COURAGE draws its roots from Romans 8:37-39. (IN) reminds me that I have to remain in Jesus at all times, so that I will have the COURAGE to do what He wants me to do. (IN) COURAGE as a whole reminds me that God also calls me to be a source of inspiration and courage to others — to encourage others to live their best lives, according to God’s plan.
(IN) COURAGE also reminds me that as long as I have Christ in me, I need not be afraid of what happens “outside.” No matter what happens, as long as I have Jesus, I will stand strong.

Lord, in You we live and move and have our being. (Acts 17:28)
St. Peter Julian Eymard, pray for us.
